Hi! I’m Fi (she/they), and I’m a writer, event producer, and wellness practitioner based in NYC. I’m also the founder of Body Politic, a queer feminist wellness collective, events series, and media company aimed at creating content and events on accessible wellness for marginalized populations. I’m passionate about re-centering the wellness conversation around the people and groups that have often been left out - low-income folks, the LGBTQ+ population, and people of color, among other communities - and examining wellness through a political context.
I graduated cum laude from Yale in 2016 with a BA in History, as a Yale Journalism Scholar. I was also EIC of Yale’s feminist publication. Since college, I’ve worked in journalism and non-fiction publishing; I’ve written about body image, food, fashion, feminism, media, and more. My work has been published in USA Today, Man Repeller, Bustle, Eater, the Columbia Journalism Review, and The Chill Times, among other publications.
I have my RYT 200 yoga training from Shaktibarre, where I teach Vinyasa classes, and worked as an ambassador from 2018-2019. I also offer themed yoga classes on topics like fluidity, self-care, and taking up space. I believe the personal is political, and that everyone deserves to feel safe and supported while experiencing wellness.
